Amsterdam, Netherlands Pt. 3
The Autobahn is a wild and crazy drive. Literally no speed limit exist the drivers are ruthless lol I did not put one pedal to the metal I left that all up to Kaje. We did stop at a gas station just to see the difference and we discovered Jack Daniels cocktails in tons of flavors that we still don’t have here in the US and picked up some magnets for everyone who asked for one. Ya’ll are welcome if you’re reading this.

Amsterdam is the coolest city, anyone who told you to spend one day here is so wrong! I know a lot of people go for the coffee shops but the culture here is really rich and unique. We drank here of course but it’s not much to be said about libations except for the Heineken experience.
We bought tickets for this maybe a day before we left Germany and we were both super glad we did. We arrived during our designated window and got in rather quickly. The history of Heineken is really long and being from St. Louis I know a lot about the Anheuser-Busch journey. This reframed my perspective a bit because I don’t think I had ever thought about mass production of beer in a time that pre-dated that rather new in comparison American history.
As you hopefully spend time on the site you’ll get to know more about Kaje and I, one of those things is that we brewed beer for a while, will we get back into it I don’t know keep up to find out but not the point lol. We entered the Heineken Beer Pour challenge against different people for the sake of our relationship lol but we both won and as a result won extra drink chips on top of the like 3 we already got with the tour. It was truly a great time!
FYI Amsterdam is a great party city we had the best time at a West Indie club overlooking a canal. They also celebrate black Friday there so we did the best shopping.

So our haul from these cities are below. You can read more about these bottle on our Libations of the Moment page which updates bi - weekly. Unfortunately, the blueberry gin from Miltenberg was a casualty of our entire gin shelf breaking one morning shortly after this trip. I want to thank my friend Jimmy for replacing almost every bottle pictured on his return from Germany.
