Bahamas (Girls Trip)

The Bahamas was beautiful but it is absurdly expensive. I wish I had tons of glowing reviews to make but I don’t. So the highlights, our resort was gorgeous and it had the most amazing flamingo parade that happened every day. Our first evening I found a gem of a cocktail bar called Bon Vivant, we had to show proof of vaccine to get in. The cocktails were so beautifully curated I would have gone back every night if I had my choice, and they were reasonably priced! The ugly, our hotel had a roof top bar that was the only place open after the country wide curfew. I ordered one of my favorite go to drinks, a Jameson and ginger ale it cost me a whopping $23 usd. After a long weekend there I easily spent $1000 on food and drinks. We were lucky enough to have a driver who took us to the liquor store so that we could mix cocktails in our room but that isn’t a realistic option for many who visit the island. We also booked a pool cabana that cost us $800 and came with a single bottle of rose lol. So Bahamas may not be seeing me for a rather long time
